Universidad del Valle de Mexico (Campus Queretaro)
Background
Founded in 1960, Universidad del Valle de México (UVM)
is the largest private university in Mexico City and the second
largest in Mexico. UVM has more than 54,000 full-time students
and 19 campuses (10 in Mexico City and 9 outside Mexico City),
some of which are located in key historical & picturesque
spots throughout Central & Southern Mexico (Guadalajara,
Querétaro, San Luis de Potosí, Puebla, and Villahermosa).
UVM is officially accredited by the Federación de Instituciones
Mexicanas Particulares de Educación Superior (FIMPES).
UVM’s academic management team includes some of the most
recognized faces in Mexican post-secondary education.
UVM’s summer exchange programs are located at its Querétaro
campus. Querétaro, a moderately sized and very safe city,
is located two and a half hours north of Mexico City in the country’s
central plateau. It is a blend of the old and the new: although
a modern industrial city, it maintains its fine colonial historic
center.
