Summer Program

University of California, Irvine– International Business Program (Classes taught in English)

This program is intended for students who wish to learn more about international business from a French and European perspective. This summer ESCE is offering Introduction to Marketing and Expanding Globally, which are taught in English by European faculty. ESCE is also offering a conversational French workshop that students can take to enrich their daily interactions with local Parisians. Moreover, they’ll have the opportunity to explore important centers of business in Paris and travel with their fellow students to the Loire Valley on a cultural expedition. (French workshop and Loire Valley expedition are not included in the program cost).

Program At A Glance

  • Four weeks in France (July 3 – 30, 2005) at École Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur (ESCE).
  • Academic credit through the University of California, Irvine. Students earn four-quarter units (credits).
  • Esteemed European faculty.
  • Access to ESCE’s state-of-the-art multimedia library.
  • Modern classrooms.
  • On-campus restaurants or local French cuisine.
  • Comfortable rooms equipped with a kitchenette and a complete bathroom.
  • All courses are taught in English and there are no language requirements. Students also have the opportunity to participate in academic field trips to see businesses such as vineyards, cosmetics companies, fashion design houses, retailers, television studios and automobile manufacturers.

Semester and Year Program (Classes taught in English and French)

This program is aimed at students who want to gain a more thorough knowledge of French language and culture while participating in regular courses. Students spend a full semester or year at ESCE enrolled in the undergraduate International Business program. Each semester, they take business or economics courses taught in English or French (depending on the selected course and student’s French proficiency) plus courses in French language and culture.
