Background

Universidad de las Américas, Quito campus, was founded in 1994 and is now one of the leading universities in Ecuador. It is located in the commercial center of Quito and is thus easily accessible. It offers Spanish Language and Culture courses at the request of foreign universities, usually during the summer.

Quito is an excellent setting to learn Spanish: the city is vibrant, at the same time traditional and modern, with a mild climate (15°-20° Celsius), our Spanish accent is considered rather neutral and easy to understand, and as Ecuador is a small yet diverse country, one can travel from the mountains to the coast to the jungle in a few hours.
